26 year old Mets fan who spends way too much time reading about, watching and generally following baseball. I also spend way too much money attending games, but it's all about pitchers, the Mets, the Athletics and tuning out bandwagon Yankees fans - not an easy feat in NYC.

My equally important obsession is Bruce Springsteen. There aren't enough hours in the day to drown in both interests as fully as I'd like, but I manage...

Post reblogged from midnight rambler

Today was weird

Last night onWLIW, amidst 45 minuites of annoying commercials, there was some solid Bruce time from past Rock and Roll HOF concerts. He performed with Dylan, his own induction performance (They only showed the Promised Land) and spotlighted his mother - it was so adorable to see again! And, later he jammed with other notables as Paul McCartney sang.

Tonight, don’t forget about the Rock and Roll HOF concert on HBO! It starts at 8. I was there the first night for Bruce’s set - he performed till after 1:30, that jerk. I would have missed my train home if I didn’t leave early. :( But, the following night, he performs with U2 and others. Epic.

I was all over the place. I interned in North Brunswick all day, got into a fight with my dad (he totally instigated it) and ran out of the house to meet up with friends in Long Branch for some laughs and late-night coffee at the Hipster Haven known as Inkwell. I kind of got lost on desolate Long Branch streets on the way back, but all’s well. I’m going to settle into bed with Google Video and the first episode of Freaks and Geeks. I’ve somehow never seen it, so I’m really excited.

I also finished my last cigarette… but it won’t be my LAST. It can’t be, especially when I kickstart this new diet. I’ll need a vice and I can’t allow it to be junk food. So a few more packs of American Spirits’ll do me good. (?)

And as always, Bruce Springsteen’s voice, guitar and words get me through everything.
