26 year old Mets fan who spends way too much time reading about, watching and generally following baseball. I also spend way too much money attending games, but it's all about pitchers, the Mets, the Athletics and tuning out bandwagon Yankees fans - not an easy feat in NYC.

My equally important obsession is Bruce Springsteen. There aren't enough hours in the day to drown in both interests as fully as I'd like, but I manage...

Not Anguished.

I’m a Mets fan who isĀ  not upset about the Halladay signing. I don’t know why, but I feel indifferent about it. I figure the Phillies have everyone coming off the books in 2011, the core of their team, at least. And, they essentially traded away seven solid prospects between the acquisitions of Lee and Halladay. They are built to win now. While 2006 was enjoyable for a Mets fan, I enjoy the chase much more than being chased, anyway. I’ll be happy if my team, the core, and the pitching staff! - can be without injury next season because we never really had our starting 9 on the field all season.

Fuck the free agents who are trying to bleed the Mets for more money. Who needs Molina all that badly? Stephen Hawking could beat him in a foot race. Jason Bay makes us better, but I wouldn’t sign him for 6 years.

Rich signing with Texas made me more upset than Halladay signing with Philly.
